The German European School Singapore (GESS) was founded in 1971 as a Deutsche Auslandsschule and became an international school in 2005 with the addition of a European (English-language) stream. The GESS has places for up to 2,000 students from over 50 nations, aged between 18 months (in the school’s nursery) and 18 years.
